SAN JOSE, CA: Introduced by Sphere 3D, a virtualization and data management solutions provider, SnapCLOUD is a cloud integrated virtual storage platform designed to deliver fully-featured enterprise NAS (Network Attached Storage) functionality in the cloud.

SnapCLOUD has been developed under the Sphere 3D's simple to use flagship GuardianOS software architecture. This cloud integrated virtual storage platform offers its customers’ flexibility, unlimited storage, full compatibility and interpretability with the existing SnapServer and SnapScale enterprise storage deployments. The live customers will enjoy hybrid cloud models after immediate integration of SnapCLOUD almost instantly into their current infrastructure in minutes with the help of interoperability between on premise and cloud deployments. Its critical performance and capacity features includes high performance snapshots, replication, and block and file-level access

"Sphere 3D's SnapCLOUD is built on an award-winning platform that is field proven in data center deployments worldwide, and has been trusted by customers to store and protect their data for over a decade.  Whether customers require a public, private or hybrid cloud model, the ability to address their needs for data growth, high-availability, back-up, and disaster recovery has never been easier," says Eric Kelly, CEO Sphere 3D while announcing the product.

SnapCLOUD built-in sync and share functionality caters to the customer interests to get data access anywhere, anytime on any device without the aid of additional third-party subscriptions. 32TB SnapCLOUD storage per image in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace can be purchased along with 1GB increments on a pay-for-use basis.

"Explosive data growth across the enterprise and a demand for anywhere, anytime access is creating a new set of challenges for data protection, management and mobility. These organizations are looking for hybrid cloud solutions to fit these needs, rather than adopting multiple point products," says Terri McClure, Sr. Analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group.

The web-based data management orchestration tool for SnapServer and SnapScale appliances has been supplemented to manage SnapCLOUD instances in addition to Sphere 3D's Snap Server Manager. Whether local or in the cloud SSM facilitates customers to centrally manage their entire physical and virtual enterprise.

SnapCLOUD will be launched in the online market of Microsoft Azure Marketplace in July 2015.
