Many companies have tapped in on this opportunity but only a few have found success and are actually executing and delivering solutions. CyberlinkASP is one of them. Founded in 1999, Dallas-based CyberlinkASP which is headed by Chris Lantrip, CEO, is an information technology managed services firm providing: virtual private cloud, managed hosting, virtual desktops, network, storage, outsourced IT and security services. CyberlinkASP currently hosts and manages virtual desktops and back office applications for hundreds businesses across the United States from its proprietary Dallas InfoMart data center using Citrix XenApp. CyberlinkASP's engineering staff, help desk and sophisticated technical support capabilities have fueled widespread acceptance of its virtual desktop product. Now, by partnering with Rackspace, CyberlinkASP is able to reduce hardware provisioning and cutover times and has expanded internationally to London.
A Step Ahead of the Rest
"As an Application Service Provider, we differ from traditional outsourcing companies by offering everything from single application delivery and help desk support to total desktop integration.
CyberlinkASP is a team of engineers and customer service people with decades of experience. They support hundreds of companies, hundreds of applications and thousands of users.
Located in Dallas the company offers the ASP solution through Thin Client technology, "but more importantly we assist you in the development and execution of the entire business process for getting your application(s) up and operating in the most cost effective and professional manner," comments Chris. We offer experienced and proven IT professionals, secure state-of-the-art data centers, the latest hardware and software technology, real customer service, and immediate 24/7 response times.
CyberlinkASP aims to expand globally and focus more time on its own Citrix expertise. CEO Lantrip explains that the nature of hosted virtual desktops (HVD) and applications requires 'fanatical support' in order to work. To achieve this, the company offers 24/7 helpdesk support from its call center in Dallas and various other U.S. locations. Their technology partners include Citrix, Cisco Systems, Dell, Fortinet and Microsoft. Software partners include Animal Intelligence Software, Exam Technologies International (The Complete Exam), Integra, Lewis Technology Group and Wolters Kluwer. Cyberlink charges its customers on a per-user, per-month basis, which includes software licensing, hardware and support costs. The company claims that the rapid adoption of hosted virtual desktops started about three years ago, and that in the next 12-18 months, 90 percent of its revenue portfolio will consist entirely of HVD alongside traditional managed services.
