Earlier, deploying on-premises hardware and software for financial departments was an uphill task for many organizations. Hull had experienced this first-hand, and therefore sought to deliver a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) solution that would streamline the workload of finance professionals, with very limited involvement from IT. The Adaptive Planning module provides comprehensive budgeting, planning, and forecasting capabilities in an easy-to-use interface that eliminates error-prone, time-consuming spreadsheet-centric processes.

To enrich the planning process with interactive self-service reports, Adaptive Reporting delivers an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop report builder for financial, transactional, and management data. “The reporting component enables customers to generate reports of the underlying data in minutes, rather than having to wait for days for reports to be generated by IT,” explains Shore.

With complete planning and ready-to-use reports, customers need a common interface for analysis. To track business performance, the Adaptive Discovery component incorporates dashboard and analytics capabilities to quickly glean insights from data. “The dashboard provides complete visibility for better decision-making,” says Shore.

The platform takes a finance-owned data integration approach. The Adaptive Integration module enables a holistic view of the business by providing seamless integration with general ledger, ERP and CRM systems. Finally, the Adaptive Consolidation solution offers a real-time consolidation engine that automates currency translations, reclassifications, and reporting for faster, more accurate consolidation and reporting cycles. It also ensures seamless connectivity between different entities.

Adaptive Insights has been recognized by leading firms. The company was named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for the fifth consecutive year. In addition, it was the only pure-play cloud CPM vendor to be placed in the Leader Quadrant of the Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Strategic Corporate Performance Management Solutions.

Among its more than 3,000 customers, Cumulus Media, a broadcasting company, has implemented Adaptive Planning to improve its forecasting and planning capabilities across 90 media markets. Today, the company has complete visibility into its business performance so that it can make informed business decisions.

Moving forward, Adaptive Insights plans to expand its offering of vertical solutions. It also plans to enable more predictive analytics and visualization capabilities.
