“We realized that using the traditional VoIP technology cannot improve error correction, compression to make voice high-definition and high-quality. Cloud infrastructure is a solution to this challenge,” states Eric Klein, COO, Cloudonix. To that end, the company offers a standard cloud solution ahead of the existing voiceover systems.
“Since its inception a decade ago, the Communications Platform-as-a-Service (CPaaS) space has evolved a long way. However, the first and second generation CPaaS fails to deliver modern services and scale them. We resolve these challenges by embracing full-cloud scalability and functionality and deploying technologies that can scale out to millions of users at an economical price,” explains Klein. Cloudonix’s un-carrier cloud platform offers the elasticity and scalability of the cloud coupled with the reliability of telecom. Having created a new category of cloud infrastructure for communications, the company brings in communication infrastructure as a service, a perfect blend of cloud and telecom services, to fill the void of cloud functionality.
To put the present-day market challenges in perspective, Klein goes on to mention an instance wherein Uber decided to end its partnership with Twilio as the transportation network firm was spending close to $36 million a year for delivering voice messaging service and SMSes between its passengers and drivers. The per-minute pricing model of the communications company running on a traditional cellular network charged the Uber app per mobile device and per minute from the device into the cloud and then from the cloud to the endpoint, leading to a surge in expenses. As a solution to similar instances where the lack of expertise and flexibility can result in increased costs, Cloudonix empowers its clients with a unique pricing model.
We currently enjoy the perks of being a cloud agnostic service provider. Also, clients are able to scale up their CPaaS in a matter of minutes
The company offers two kinds of CPaaS solutions—WeCloud and YouCloud. WeCloud is a multi-tenant solution, hosting separate customer services on Cloudonix’s cloud infrastructure. Each client has a unique ID, under which they may have one or more web domains for use. With WeCloud, clients can reduce costs by transitioning to direct dialing on their mobile applications from the traditional multi-level IVR systems. On the other hand, YouCloud navigates clients through compliance or technical requirements to stay in partial control of their communications service. Cloudonix also helps the clients implement third-party cloud systems while simultaneously managing their system remotely.
Cloudonix enables organizations to use their own business models, rather than imposing one on them. The company’s amalgamation of solutions allows users the liberty to configure their email or call systems. “We focus on optimizing our clients’ communication email and guide them in the process of integrating our SDK in their mobile applications,” says Klein.
What makes Cloudonix stand apart in the CPaaS market is its capability of providing cloud stack on multiple-cloud providers. Additionally, the organization boasts of high-quality voice and video services, facilitating streamlined call connectivity rather than getting disseminated from a centralized location. “We currently enjoy the perks of being a cloud agnostic service provider. Also, clients can scale up their CPaaS in a matter of minutes,” states Klein.
As the only complete IPv6 service provider, Cloudonix is looking forward to launching its web SDK click-to-call service, which will make way for direct call center connections straight from the device.
