Peniel Solutions: Breaking Through the Noise for Public Sector Digital Transformation (DX)

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Duluth, GA, PSL is a leading small business solution government contractor (GovCon) provider of digital transformation services, DevSecOps (development, security, and operations), supported by the full range of cloud services exclusively for the United States government. With an emphasis on DevSecOps, PSL offers its customers a full range of cloud solutions that leverage both Amazon’s GovCloud and commercial web services through every level of engagement.
What is PSL’s success model? First, PSL’s executives specialize in helping federal agencies frame and align their business challenges to specific acquisition strategies that capitalize on proven digital solutions. They do so, by embracing the federal government’s digital playbook, which was created in the aftermath of the Affordable Healthcare Website’s failed digital rollout in 2014. Second, PSL compares the lessons learned from the playbook with its own unique experiences gained from delivering technology solutions to the federal government for 19 years. “This has been the cornerstone of our company’s culture, which is to become intimately knowledgeable concerning our clients’ needs and continuously update ourselves on what’s working and what’s not,” says James McGriff, president and CTO of PSL.

Third, PSL delivers thoughtful solutions that are both functional and accessible. For example, one of its flagship digital cloud solutions for records management is called TransAccess (which means transactions that are accessible). McGriff elaborates, “This highly flexible digital solution was created to solve manual processing, compliance, and security issues, and gain a better advantage for working with federal records in both paper and electronic formats.”
TransAccess, designed to function within any organization, is the only commercial application that interfaces with the federal records center of the National Archives and Records Administration’s (NARA) Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS). TransAccess is easily accessible to federal agencies via GSA’s SIN 51 600—electronic records management solutions contract vehicle. In addition, PSL also provides digital services under its GSA Information Technology (IT) 70 and its GSA 8(a) STARS II contract vehicles.
With its highly skilled team of experts and about two decades of industry presence, PSL works as a complete cloud service provider exclusively for the federal government. In the long run, the company will continue its focus on the cybersecurity and DevOps space, for delivering enhanced and better federal operations. “Furthermore, as most federal agencies don’t prefer standardizing on a single cloud platform, we are working toward delivering a unique experience with the dual platform concept, wherein two cloud platforms work in parallel,” concludes McGriff.
