Public Cloud behemoths such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform have dominated the worldwide Cloud market through their self-service business model. Unfortunately, this business model is in their best interests instead of millions of US organizations. According to Gartner, the US has a growing demand for diverse cloud technology skill sets. As much as companies need to accelerate their Cloud adoption, most companies lack the human capital, knowledge, and expertise to design, implement, and migrate on their own to the Cloud. Keep IT Simple (KIS) is one of a few IT companies with the deep knowledge and expertise to assist many organizations, especially small, mid-market, and local governments.

In many cases, organizations' IT departments or tech professionals in SMBs, local government entities, and schools are not experienced enough in Cloud technologies. They are nearly overwhelmed with the time needed for troubleshooting, security monitoring, and application/device maintenance of on-premise systems (desktops, laptops, switches, wireless, routers, firewalls, servers, storage, printing, etc.). With a legion of experienced professionals, the Keep IT Simple team is committed to helping these entities to design, implement, and migrate on-premises data to the Cloud. KIS CEO, Sean Canevaro, says, "We take the pressure off our clients' shoulders, provide manpower for staff-limited organizations, and implement technology solutions, including Cloud, where they best serve the client’s needs." Since its inception three decades ago, the California-based company has provided cost-friendly, full-service technology consultation to increase organizations' processes, efficiencies, and agility.

With a technology agnostic and performance-based solution delivery model, the company even brings infosec(Cyber Security) and virtualization solutions (both Cloud and On-prem) for an affordable cost. As an approved CMAS vendor, KIS can offer various on-site and virtual managed services, including setup, installation, training, monitoring, maintenance, and reporting for agencies that are budget limited. Highlighting KIS's ability to deliver successful projects, Canevaro cites instances wherein the firm helped organizations that have been with KIS since 1988.

KIS experts have worked on a 100s of requests across Cloud migration and other infrastructure services. In a typical Cloud Request, KIS provides the client with infrastructure as a service (IAAS). This includes everything necessary to host an organization's Primary DATA in the Cloud.
Then, KIS can provide BAAS (backup as a Service, designed to create and protect a second copy of the organization's DATA. As needed, KIS can also deliver Disaster Recovery (i.e. a third copy of the DATA held separate from the others and ready to take over as the Primary DATA in as little as 1 hour). In effect, the client achieves a "PERFECT" design for DATA availability, protection, and resilience.

Over several years for its clients, KIS increased the performance of KIS Cloud by 20X since 2013. The performance increase is due to the consistent, persistent upgrades and hardware/software replacements of the underlying equipment in the KIS Cloud. These performance increases occur with no user downtime and no client cost increases. In addition to these improvements, new services come online and are often offered for no additional cost to existing clients. KIS provides a cloud-based multifactor authentication service with no extra charges. "This differentiates us from the bigger "Self Service Cloud Providers", and allows us to be better, faster, and more responsive to our clients’ end-users," mentions Canevaro.

Similarly, the company has helped school entities with a co-location facility by moving its 20% on-premise components and resources to the KIS Cloud. KIS migrated its 57 virtual machines with almost 30 terabytes of data in two weeks. As a result, the school was able to save $20,000 per year throughout a five-year partnership.

We take the pressure off our clients' shoulders, provide manpower for stafflimited organizations to implement technology solutions, including Cloud, where they best serve the client's needs

Known for its client-centric Approach, Keep IT Simple (KIS) has served thousands of organizations. KIS clients range from Fortune 500s to government agencies, including schools, complex multi-site networks, and utilities. "We are happy to have kept our costs low, which is reflected in 0 price increases for clients for six consecutive years. This makes KIS a very desirable Cloud Partner," concludes Canevaro. Looking ahead, the firm envisions playing a pivotal role in establishing better security and fault tolerance to mitigate outages.
